Medialets is the creator of Servo™, a mobile ad serving and measurement platform that helps marketers manage and measure mobile ad campaigns.  Our technology is used by us and our clients to serve ads, identify devices and measure campaign performance. This policy covers information that is collected and used by the Servo ad serving platform (“Platform”). For information collected at the Medialets corporate web site, please click the link on the right.

Information We Collect:

Medialets collects information from across our Platform as we serve and track ads on web browsers and mobile apps. Our server side architecture combines data from multiple sources to create a universal identifier which allows us to recognize a user of apps, browsers and web sites to better measure the effectiveness of ads.

The following data are typically collected when available: User agent, IP, time, cookies, local storage information, advertising identifiers, probabilistic device profiles, language, device manufacturer, operating system and version, browser and version, HTTP header info, third party browser or device identifiers, web site url or app used, location and other non-personal information. In certain instances, Medialets may use HTML5 storage for enabling functionality within an ad or for counting purposes

Our Platform also collects and shares information with technology partners who help us establish connections among related devices (such as smartphones, tablets and computers) that are used by one individual. By making those connections and using data we have collected or acquired, we are able to better measure the effectiveness of ads and to customize advertising. This means that information about your use of this site or application on your current device may be combined with information from your other devices. The data shared with these partners has been de-identified so that our partners do not access personal information.

How We Use and Share Information:

We may limit the number of times a specific advertisement is presented to the same mobile device (frequency capping), provide ads to only certain types of mobile devices, and deliver ads based on date and time and location, among other uses.

We provide reports to marketers about the performance of their campaigns across devices. We may share this non-personal information with clients, vendors, affiliates and other companies with whom we conduct business, and as otherwise described in this policy. We do not currently provide interest-based advertising, but we may work with clients who do deliver interest based ads.

We will also share information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to (a) resolve disputes, investigate problems, or enforce our Terms of Use; (b) comply with relevant laws or to respond to requests from law enforcement or other government officials relating to investigations or alleged illegal activity; or (c) protect and defend our rights or property or the rights and property of you or third parties; or In connection with or during negotiation of any merger, financing, acquisition or dissolution, transaction or proceeding involving sale, transfer, divestiture, or disclosure of all or a portion of our business or assets. In the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership, information may also be transferred as a business asset. If another company acquires our company, business, or assets, that company will possess the information collected by us and will assume the rights and obligations regarding your Information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Choices:

Users have a number of different choices about how we collect or use information depending on whether they are using an app or a web browser.

Web Browser Opt-Out: To Opt Out of tracking when using a web browser, click or tap the button below from the device and browser from which you want to opt out. We will attempt to set an opt-out cookie, or we will store an anonymous value in your HTML5 database to remove you from being counted by Medialets’ servers.  This may be removed by clearing your browser’s cache. Some types of tracking using non-cookie technologies are not subject to browser controls. If you opt out of tracking via this option, we will continue to collect information from you, but you will no longer have our unique identifier associated with your browser.

Do Not Track: If you have enabled the Do Not Track setting on your mobile device, we seek to treat you as a user who has opted out of being counted by Medialets servers. Please see www.allaboutdnt.org for a further description of your options.

Interest Based Advertising: Please also visit AdChoices for information about additional opt-out options provided by our technology partners who may be customizing advertising for users based on cross web or cross app activity.

Mobile App Opt-Out: Most mobile operating systems provide a setting which enables users to set a “limit ad tracking”. We ask partners to pass this signal on to us so that we can decline to collect or create our universal identifier. We will also refrain from sharing unique device identifier information with our partners or for cross-device connections when we receive this signal.

Data Retention: Our policy is to maintain individual level Platform information for 2 years and one month and then to delete it. Aggregated or anonymous information may be stored for as long as needed for business purposes.

Security:

Medialets takes steps to protect the security of information that we collect. We have designed and deployed hardware, software, and networking solutions in an effort to reasonably secure and protect access to our systems and data.

Changes to Privacy Policy

Medialets is committed to continually examining and reviewing its privacy practices, and may make changes to its Privacy Policy. We will post any revisions to the policy at https://www.medialets.com/privacy.

YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION MAY BE PROCESSED BY US IN THE COUNTRY WHERE IT WAS COLLECTED AS WELL AS OTHER COUNTRIES (INCLUDING THE UNITED STATES) WHERE LAWS REGARDING PROCESSING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION MAY BE LESS STRINGENT THAN THE LAWS IN YOUR COUNTRY. BY USING THE SERVICES AND PROVIDING ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION, YOU ARE CONSENTING TO THE TRANSFER OF DATA FROM YOUR COUNTRY TO A COUNTRY THAT HAS LESS STRINGENT LAWS, AND THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION IN CONFORMANCE WITH THIS POLICY.

Notwithstanding the above, personal information collected in the European Economic Area (EEA)  will be maintained in Ireland.  Only aggregated or statistical data from the EEA will be transferred out of the EEA.

Opt-out Button

Medialets stores a unique identifier (unrelated to and not associated with your unique mobile device ID) when you are served an ad by us in a browser. That identifier helps to deliver relevant advertisements, provide aggregated reporting and limit the number of times you see a particular ad. To Opt Out of this tracking, click or tap the button below from the device and browser from which you want to opt out. If you opt out of such tracking, we will continue to collect information from you, but you will no longer have a unique identifier associated with your browser and this information will not be associated with you. Please note that opting out can limit the relevancy of the advertising you receive through Medialets-enabled campaigns.
