Colin Crawford
Colin Crawford is CEO and Founder of Media7, a consultancy and strategic advisory company focusing on mobile multi-media content. He is also a Venture Affiliate at IDG Ventures San and an advisor to a number of early and mid-stage companies. He held a series of senior executive leadership roles at IDG (International Data Group http://www.idg.com ) from 1993 to 2008, and served on the IDG senior management team. Mr. Crawford has extensive International experience, working with IDG business units in Europe and Asia.
Mr. Crawford is a speaker at various industry events, and his achievements have been recognized with a number of industry awards including Folio 40 2007 – Director Level Doer and Folio 40 2006 – People to watch 2007. In his role as IDG’s digital strategist, he served on various industry committees including the Google Publisher Advisory Council, the IAB Mobile Committee and a judge for the MIXX awards.
Ari Paparo
Ari has nearly a decade of experience developing rich media, online advertising and streaming video solutions. As Product Director, Advertiser Products at Google, Ari managed an industry-leading portfolio of advertising technology products, including DoubleClick’s DFA ad serving platform, DoubleClick Rich Media, and the innovative media planning tool, DoubleClick Ad Planner. He has held senior product leadership and business development roles at DoubleClick, Blink.com, and Hearst New Media.
Ari is active in the New York venture community and serves as an advisor to Medialets, a mobile rich media technology start-up funded by the Foundry Group and DFJ Gotham, and TapAd, a stealth-mode start-up focused on mobile advertising. He received a BS in Marketing from Georgetown University and an MBA from Columbia University.
Shervin Pishevar
Shervin is a visionary technology entrepreneur, published researcher and technology incubation expert. Shervin has raised nearly $40m in venture funding for his start ups. Currently Shervin is the founder and Excutive Chairman of SGN, one of the leading social and mobile gaming companies, with over 11 million users on the iPhone with title such as iBowl, iBasketball, i(fluff)friends and most recently the hugely popular Agency Wars and tens of millions of users of SGN’s profitable games and applications on Facebook, MySpace and Bebo. To date Shervin has raised a $15m Series A for SGN from such investors as Greylock Capital, Founders Fund and Bezos Expeditions. Shervin was founding President and COO of Webs (formerly Freewebs), one of the largest social publishing communities in the world with over 30 million members and which is still adding 1 million members every 60 days. Shervin raised $12m for Webs from Novak Biddle and Columbia Capital. Shervin currently serves on the Board of Directors of both SGN and Webs. Shervin has co-founded such companies as Hotprints to revolutionize the personal printing and direct marketing world and Hyperoffice, a leading Saas provider for small businesses.
Shervin is an active angel investor or advisor in such companies as Launchbox Digital, Mechanical Zoo, Inviteme.to and Kissmetrics. Shervin was a member of the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) policy working group that helped create the Obama Technology and Innovation Plan. Shervin has an extensive track record for technology innovation and his achievements have been highlighted by the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, New York Times, LA Times, CNN and CNBC.
Greg Tagaris
Greg comes to Medialets after spending 12 years at DoubleClick, joining shortly after its creation in 1996. As CIO since 2005, Greg was responsible for supporting the technology initiatives related to the creation and scaling of the DART platform, which included running an agile engineering shop, 24×7 operations, and a research and development team. Today, DART serves more than 20 billion advertising impressions daily. Tagaris was key in the sale and integration of DoubleClick to Google and remains as a consultant for Google, on the DART platform.
Having spent nearly all of his career in engineering and operations, Greg’s experience includes two years at Con Edison as an energy audit engineer, and at Cahners Publishing as a database developer for just under two years prior to joining DoubleClick. Greg has a BA in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University.
Bobby Yazdani
Bobby Yazdani is the Chairman & CEO and the driving force behind the Saba vision, products, and market direction. He founded Saba in 1997 and took the company public in 2000. Today, Saba, headquartered in Redwood Shores, California, has over 640 employees worldwide and is the leading provider of Human Capital Development and Management solutions. Mr. Yazdani’s investments include: Medialets, Google, Qwiki, SalesForce.com, Aardvark, Klout and Webs.
