On the heels of our new funding announcement, we have more exciting news to share. Medialets has been selected as the global mobile and tablet ad serving partner for VivaKi, the media services arm of Publicis Groupe.
Through this relationship, VivaKi’s network of agencies, including two global media agency networks, ZenithOptimedia and Starcom MediaVest Group, and two leading digital marketing agencies, Digitas and Razorfish, will leverage Medialets’ advertising technology and services to bring trusted, third-party serving and measurement to mobile web and apps on tablets and smartphones across the premium mobile publisher ecosystem.

Vivaki awarded the deal to Medialets after an extensive bid process that began in late 2011 when the agency network sent RFPs to a dozen ad-server companies. Four companies — all of them startups — proceeded to the final bid round with Medialets winning the deal “by a considerable margin,” said Grace Liau, Vivaki’s senor VP-platforms and ad operations.
Ms. Liau said Vivaki was especially interested in the promise of rich-media mobile advertising and selected Medialets in part for its expertise in serving those across phones and tablets. More established ad-serving companies involved in the bid “still looked at mobile-ad serving through the lens of display ad serving and that was a big problem, because mobile is a very different beast,” she said.
The partnership is a clear indication that mobile advertising has moved past the point of experimentation and now requires real solutions for scale. We look forward to sharing more great news as we continue to enable the industry’s most effective and seamless mobile advertising.
