Our mission to make mobile display advertising available and interesting at scale received a boost today with the announcement that Adobe has integrated our rich media ad platform into the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite.

This integration allows publishers to efficiently manage and deliver Medialets’ highly-engaging and deeply creative ad formats in digital publications on iOS and Android in addition to any future platforms that run Adobe AIR. Integrating Medialets into the Digital Publishing Suite opens up a high-value, in-demand solution for monetizing digital publications on smartphones and tablets.

Digital Publishing Suite users that are also Medialets customers can begin inserting advertising overlays in digital publications later this year.

Benchmarks for In-App Mobile Rich Media Ads

It’s been two years since Medialets and OMD created rich media history with the launch of The World’s First Shakeable Ad® for Dockers. Since then, more advertisers, agencies and publishers have embraced the opportunity to connect with consumers on their smartphones, tablets made their way into the mix thanks to the launch of the iPad, and Android became a contender among mobile operating systems.

Through the rapid evolution of in-app rich media, one important aspect has remained a constant: its exceptional performance.

We took a close look at Medialets campaign data from January and February of 2011 (based on data from the more than 1200 creatives trafficked during this time period) to determine how a mobile rich media creative typically performs. (more…)

There’s no shortage of data to substantiate the momentum of mobile. In the past week, technology research firm IDC reported that smartphone shipments increased 87% worldwide in fourth quarter, while a Q4 study from Advertisers’ Perceptions Inc., revealed the majority of advertisers and agency executives are planning to increase ad budgets in 2011. Meanwhile, Mary Meeker declared “Mobile Has Hit Critical Mass’ in her latest report on the top 10 Mobile Trends.

It’s an exciting time for mobile and that momentum carries through to Medialets, the most widely deployed rich media ad platform for mobile and connected devices.
